MC Frontalot and I attempted to kick out something approximating the jams this week for Songfight. Go check it out:
I think it turned out decent for like a two day thang.

Here's another demo I've been working on: Bad Sign. (And here's the forum thread.)
TheHipCola and I did an ABBA cover. Grab it here. (6mb mp3) This is for the ABBA Sidefight going on over at Songfight where everyone was called upon to cover ABBA songs. I've been real into ABBA lately so I wanted to do something for it. I think ours turned out well. Hard to live up to the awesome original though.
Certain DeathGenre: Rock? Time: 3:48 Date: 07/19/04
Acoustic guitar, drums and synths. This one took forever to write.
Total BreakdownGenre: Rock Time: 2:04 Date: 05/03/04
Ah being creatively blocked is awesome, don't let anyone tell you any different. Here's a demo of a little pop-rock song that my friends claim to like. Three things I've been playing with: 1) harmonies, 2) multiple guitar sounds, 3) playing more parts "live" to get a rougher sound.
Understood By Your DadGenre: Rock Time: 2:29 Date: 02/10/04
I've been having a rough time deciding on my next song so I've decided to force myself to release something. Here's a rock song I've been a-fussin and a-feudin with. I think the mix is a bit of a mess, but I'll worry about that later.
You're Not Going AnywhereGenre: Rock ballad Length: 3:35 Date: 11/21/03
Here's a plodding sad-ish song to break up my streak of fairly up-tempo stuff. I think the mix may be messed up but I have fluid in my ear.
Dropping Out Of SchoolGenre: Rock Length: 2:45 Date: 10/30/03
These song notes are so much fun to write. I should make a generic "NOT TOO SURE ABOUT THIS ONE, RELEASING IT ANYWAY" template and use that from now on.
We're Not FriendsGenre: Rock Length: 3:20 Date: 09/25/03
Recorded in a day, tried to do a sort of bouncy rock song. I could probably stand to obsess over it a bit more to fix various issues, but I'm kinda sick of hearing it so maybe I'll do it later.
There's Something WrongGenre: Rock Length: 3:20 Date: 09/08/03
Here's a happy little number maybe about mental illness and maybe about Usenet and maybe about both.
Bad AttractionGenre: Rock/Blues Length: 3:12 Date: 08/06/03 Album: Brad Sucks: I Don't Know What I'm Doing
This is a song I made for Songfight. It was written and recorded in under a day because I slacked until the last moment. I used Songfight as an excuse to try to rock.
Making Me NervousGenre: Dance/Rock Length: 2:26 Date: 07/23/03 Album: Brad Sucks: I Don't Know What I'm Doing
Well, this is what happens when everyone tells me that I should make more rock songs. I go off and make a dance track. I was actually just playing around with synths and sequencers and it all just kinda happened.
Look And Feel Years YoungerGenre: Hard Rock Length: 4:37 Date: 05/22/03 Album: Brad Sucks: I Don't Know What I'm Doing
This is a song I made for the Outside the Inbox compilation. The subject line of the spam was, obviously, "Look and feel years younger". I have no idea what it's actually selling because I'm afraid to click on the link in the email. This song's a lot more aggro than the stuff I've been putting up here lately. Distortion and yelling and guitars as large as I could make them. There are many things I'm unsure of about this song, such as the solo and the quick drum break and how stupid maybe I sound, but I figure I might as well slap the song online and re-evaluate it sometime before the August 1st compilation deadline.
I Think I Started A TrendGenre: Rock/Folk Length: 3:02 Date: 05/14/03 Album: Brad Sucks: I Don't Know What I'm Doing
Here's a simple folk/rock sort of song made by me. It has some crummy slide guitar in it. I'm not really sure how it turned out.
Work Out FineGenre: Rock/Folk Length: 4:03 Date: 04/24/03 Album: Brad Sucks: I Don't Know What I'm Doing
Here's a song I wrote the other day while having various retarded life issues. My voice is all low because I had a cold at the time. I had to remove all the takes with me coughing in them. I didn't realize the cold was affecting my voice until I listened to the recordings and apparently I'm too lazy to re-do them.
Sick as a DogGenre: Rock Length: 3:12 Date: 04/16/2003 Album: Brad Sucks: I Don't Know What I'm Doing
I wrote and recorded this pretty quickly. Coincidentally, right after recording it I got a cold which I am suffering from as I write this.
Dirt BagGenre: Rock/Hip Hop Length: 3:45 Date: 04/09/2003 Album: Brad Sucks: I Don't Know What I'm Doing
Here's another one of my diddly damn songs. I'm not really sure how this one turned out, but online it goes regardless of quality control. I was very pleased with myself up until about about the eight millionth listen. I hope you enjoy it.
Fixing My BrainGenre: Ballad Time: 4:14 Date: 03/25/2003 Album: Brad Sucks: I Don't Know What I'm Doing
This is some song I did. It's kind of different than most of my other stuff, I think. I paid a lot of attention to the mix and then encoded it at 128k which makes it sound extra assy. Maybe I'll think of something interesting to say about it one day, but not to-day.
Never Get OutGenre: Pop/Dance Time: 1:54 Date: 01/09/2003 Album: Brad Sucks: I Don't Know What I'm Doing
I have this thing I do where I work really, really hard on a song for weeks and weeks, slowly re-recording parts of it, changing lyrics, adding and removing parts and overall torturing myself about it. Then at the last moment I throw it out and write something silly in half an hour that makes me laugh. This is one of those.
Quit ComplainingGenre: Rock/Pop Time: 1:48 Date: 10/25/2002
I wanted to test out my Cubase SX and threw this quick track together. Then there was a little bit of internal drama afterwards, but then that seemed to fade away somehow, as though I were too lazy to continue caring.
